The Club meets on Thursday mornings at 7:00am at the Prospector Hotel in downtown Juneau. The Juneau Gastineau Rotary Club averages 45 members, coming mostly from the government, education, financing, and private consulting arenas, as well as small local retailers and non-profit organizations. We have a very active club and always welcome new members.
Juneau is a community of approximately 30,000, with major economic influences from state, federal and local governments, tourism, fishing, mining, and as a retail, education, health and transportation hub to outlying communities. The majority of its population resides on Douglas Island,"Downtown," nestled below a couple of awesome mountains and the Gastineau Channel (a waterway separating Douglas Island from the mainland), or in the Mendenhall Valley (home of the Mendenhall Glacier). Please check out the Juneau website www.traveljuneau.com for some really great pictures and information about our community. DOT - Egan Drive |
